As you relax closer and closer to a nonphysical focus and away from a physical focus it&#8217;s very likely you&#8217;ll encounter what are called &#8220;lucid dream vibrations&#8221; and lucid dream rushing noises.</p>
<h2>What Do Lucid Dream Vibrations Feel Like?</h2>
<p>The vibrations literally feel like a buzzing sensation, similar to a vibrating cell phone or the feeling of buzzing in your lips when you make a &#8220;Vvvvvvvvvv&#8221; sound. The usually appear in your head and chest area but can occur throughout your body.</p>
<h2>What Do Lucid Dream Rushing Noises Sound Like?</h2>
<p>The rushing noises that often come with vibrations sound like a train in the room or a tornado. </p>
<p>Most books on OBEs say that you should induce vibrations to have OBEs. This is anything but true and one of the main reasons people fail with lucid dreams. </p>
<p>Vibrations are simply a side effect of nonphysical friction. The more you practice OBEs the easier you&#8217;ll be able to shift into a nonphysical focus without running into nonphysical friction. Your OBE exits will become smoother and smoother until eventually you&#8217;ll pass directly from a conscious focus to a waking subconscious focus without any vibrations or rushing noises at all.</p>
<p>This has two effects:</p>
<p>1.) Good: You won&#8217;t waste any energy to friction in the vibration stage</p>
<p>2.) Bad: You&#8217;ll have fewer &#8220;road signs&#8221; to tell how close you are to an OBE.</p>
<p>The good part is lucid dream exits that are nice and smooth are also nice and bright and clear because you spend all your nonphysical energy on powering your projection rather than powering wasteful vibrations.</p>
<p>The bad part is that you may actually shift into an OBE and not know it because you didn&#8217;t have any obvious cluses about what was going on. <h2>How To Use Lucid Dream Vibrations To Have OBEs</h2>
<p>The trick to using lucid dream vibrations to have OBEs is to wait for the &#8220;Quiet Zone&#8221; <i>after</i> vibrations have passed. That is the signal to watch for to know you&#8217;re in an OBE. Once you&#8217;ve relaxed past them and things calm down and become eerily still, you can use a exit method to turn your deep state of relaxation or even sleep paralysis into an OBE.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In the previous post on <a href=http://www.lucidology.com/blog/obe-vibrations-2/124>OBE vibrations</a> we mentioned that a lot of books say to do your <a href=http://www.lucidology.com/blog/lucid-dream-exit-methods/105>OBE exit</a> when you&#8217;re right in the middle of OBE vibrations.</p>
<p>Instead, if you <b>wait until after the vibrations have subsided</b> then you&#8217;ve relaxed into the OBE Quiet Zone. This is the signal that you&#8217;re ready to slip out of your body smoothly without wasting a lot of energy on vibrations and rushing noises.</p>
<p>The reason for this is vibrations happen because you&#8217;re experiencing energy from both your physical focus and your newly acquired nonphysical focus. When you&#8217;re on the straddling point on the way into an OBE you&#8217;re running double the energy you normally run. </p>
<p>The newer you are to OBEs, the less likely you&#8217;ll be able to run that energy without some friction which causes vibrations and rushing noises. </p>
<p>When you finally shift over completely into a nonphysical focus in the OBE then you&#8217;re back to only focusing on one signals&#8217; worth of energy. This causes the vibrations to go away and that&#8217;s the signpost you&#8217;re looking for to know you&#8217;re ready for the <a href=http://www.lucidology.com/blog/lucid-dream-exit-methods/105>OBE exit</a> </p>

<p>OBE vibrations literally feel like a buzzing sensation, a lot like the feeling of buzzing in your lips when you make a &#8216;Vvvvvvvvvvv&#8217; sound.</p>

<p><b>MAJOR OBE MISTAKE!</b></p>
<p>Most books will tell you that you need to induce vibrations in order to have an OBE. This is quite incorrect and is a major reason why many people never have OBEs no matter how hard they work at it.</p>
<p>The fact is that you&#8217;ll actually find that if you do start having OBEs a lot, that vibrations become less and less frequent until your OBEs are completely smooth and vibrationless.</p>
<p>This is what you want because OBE vibrations are nothing more than nonphysical friction and a waste of energy. When you have an OBE without any vibrations the resulting OBE will be much brighter and clearer than an OBE where you have to fight through a lot of vibrations.</p>
<p><b>How OBE Vibrations Are Useful</b></p>
<p>On the other hand, OBE vibrations are useful in that they are a great signpost to tell you how close you are to an OBE. A lot of times you&#8217;ll be relaxing your way into a lucid dream and there&#8217;s really not a lot (if anything) that tells you what&#8217;s going on or if you&#8217;re making any progress.</p>
<p>This is where OBE vibrations are useful, but they&#8217;re NOT useful in the way that the OBE books tell you. The books will say to do your <a href=http://www.lucidology.com/blog/lucid-dream-exit-methods/105>OBE exit</a> when you&#8217;re right in the middle of OBE vibrations.</p>
<p>This is a HUGE mistake and is almost guaranteed to fail. Sometimes you can blast your way through vibrations and complete an exit then, but it&#8217;s pretty rare to get it to work. </p>

I have read that camomile tea is supposed to be good for astral projection. Do you know of any other things that can help you? Like, crystals or anything else? <p>Vibrations are a form of nonphysical friction. Once you&#8217;ve had a lot of OBEs you clear out nonphysical blocks that caused vibrations and don&#8217;t really get vibes any more. You&#8217;ll enter a subconscious state and need to rely on other phenomena to tell how close to an OBE you are. Here&#8217;s a chart with hints to use to tell about how close you are so you don&#8217;t have to rely only on vibrations: </p>

<p>Sleep paralysis is the most useful method of knowing if you&#8217;re ready to project or not. If you wake up and fall asleep several times in a row without moving (using a timer) you&#8217;ll enter sleep paralysis and be able to use any of the methods on the video to turn it into an OBE.</p>
